KETHEA makes the most of EU opportunities to create innovative services in drug abuse prevention, education / vocational training and social re-integration for therapeutic programme members and graduates, exchange of know-how, professional development and research. In this context KETHEA submits and applies proposals or takes part in programmes run by other organisations.
Third Community Support Framework ‘Employment and Vocational Training’ Business Programme
Within the context of the third Community Support Framework ‘Employment and Vocational Training’ Business Programme KETHEA plans and implements vocational courses in various areas in Greece and offers supportive services to former adult and adolescent drug users.
EQUAL Community Initiative - ENTAXI Development Co-operation (2005-2007)
KETHEA is a partner of the ENTAXI Development Co-operation and offers multifaceted support for the social and professional integration of addicted individuals within the framework of the EQUAL Community Initiative. In this context KETHEA has undertaken creating the necessary structure for post-therapeutic support provision to all detoxified individuals, the training of teaching staff who work with previous drug addicts or individuals on the path to recovery, the creation of production units and workshops, the organisation of training programmes and the creation of a network of businesses and employers.
Socrates
KETHEA takes part in Gruntvig programme projects. The ‘Breakout’ programme is an interstate cooperation programme that focuses on crime prevention and social rehabilitation by using innovative learning and health promotion models combined with state-of-the-art technology. The programme Get the Message Special Marketing Strategies (SMS) (2nd cycle, 2007-08) focuses on strategic approaches for vulnerable populations and their resumption of educational procedures.
Leonardo da Vinci
KETHEA is a partner of the Leonardo da Vinci interstate projects which include staff training in addiction, strategies against addictive substance use to be implemented within communities, research and other issues. The European Companionship in Education -ECETT 2006-2008 is one of the programmes implemented as part of the Leonardo da Vinci project and offers a common certified educational model based on an exchange of teaching professionals.
Health Programme
KETHEA is also a partner of the Strategic European Inventory on Drugs-SEID 2007-2010 programme which focuses on research and comparative analysis of intervention in primary prevention, therapy and social integration. It evaluates the results in these areas at a national level and formulates proposals for the adoption of common approaches that are effective.
